Offering Special Education and Autism

Consultations and Training for Educators, Parents, Support Staff and Professionals

SC_Pic_edited.png

Hello!

In September of 1999, I earned a Master of Science in Special
Education, with a concentration in Autism. This taught me how to work with children and adults diagnosed on the autism spectrum. It also prepared me to work in teams with psychologists, social workers and families to respond to the special needs of this unique population.

I hope to use my 40 years' experience as a professional and as a parent who has raised an autistic son, to support educators, parents and
professionals. By providing trainings and consultations I can offer the tools needed to support their work, thus increasing their comfort level and understanding of working with people with learning and behavioral challenges, either in the home, school or even district-wide.

I have worked as an Autism Consultant, parent & teacher trainer, Adjunct Professor and Special Education Teacher. I have presented many workshops on various topics over the past 10 years to professionals and parents in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Nassau and Westchester Counties. I am now an ASPIRE Registered Trainer.
